Introduction

발행인은 대한민국국회에서 3년간 근무하고 2012년 경기대학교에서 경호안전학 박사과정을 수료한 이후 경운대학교 조교수로 임용되었다. 이후 강의와 연구에 몰두하던 중 비영어권 국가 연구자들의 우수한 연구성과물이 국제적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 현실에 아쉬움을 느끼게 되었다.

학술적 연구성과의 국제적 영향력을 높이기 위해서는 사회 현상을 제언할 수 있는 각각의 학술지를 묶어 시너지 효과를 높이고 영어 기반 오픈어세스(CC-BY) 발간 정책을 통해 더 많은 국가, 인종의 연구자들에게 영감을 줄 수 있어야 한다. 그렇다고 국제학술시장의 생태계에서 유럽 등지의 다국적 출판 플랫폼에 전적으로 의존하는 것은 다양한 지역의 소수 의견과 창의적인 학술활동을 제약할 뿐만 아니라 후속 세대를 위한 학술적 토대를 마련하지 못하게 되는 한계점이된다.

따라서 국제적 이데올로기와 자국 우선주의를 비롯한 그 어떤 간섭으로부터 지역 연구자들의 자주성을 보호하기 위하여 뜻을 함께하는 연구자들과 2015년 동북아학술저널연합(J-INSTITUTE)을 설립하게 되었고 2016년부터 10종의 학술지를 발행하고 있다.

Introduction

편집국장은 대구대학교에서 사회학, 가정복지학 학위를 취득하고, ICT 기업 커뮤니케이션 분야에서 9년동안 포트폴리오 프로세스 매니저였으며, 2021년부터 동북아학술저널연합(J-INSTITUTE)의 편집인으로 합류하여 원고접수 및 발간 전반의 관리자로 회원들과의 교신을 통한 높은 수준의 학술적 가치 실현 뿐만 아니라 학술지평가, 웹편집, 세무회계를 총괄하고 있다.

Introduction

대표는 2012년 명지대학교 산업대학원 건강과학산업학과 주임교수로 근무하면서 2025년 2월까지 자연치유와 뷰티헬스 영역에서 72명의 석사학위논문을 배출하였다. 이후 2023년 3월부터 명지대학교 일반대학원에서 융합헬스케어학과 교수로 활동하고 있으며 헬스케어(healthcare) 와 스마트뷰티(smart-beauty)를 융합한 연구를 진행하고 있다.

주요 연구 영역으로 헬스케어 분야에서는 치료 중심의 영역에서 벗어나 4P(preventive: 예방, predictive: 예측 personalized: 개인 맞춤, participatory: 참여) 중심의 학제간 연구를 실시하고 있다. 또한 비의료 건강관리서비스의 개념과 응용에 관해 교육하고 있으며, 헬시플레져(healthy pleasure)와 헬시에이징(healthy aging)에 관심을 두고 있다.

스마트뷰티 영역에서는 건강한 아름다움을 추구하기 위해 복합학의 개념으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 피부미용장비와 과학화된 측정 도구를 활용하여 체계적인 실험연구 및 콘텐츠 개발을 실시하고 있다. 주목할 부분은 산양삼(Wild-simulated ginseng)의 진세노사이드 성분을 이용한 화장품 개발에 많은 공을 들이고 있으며 안면피부 적용실험에 관한 다수의 연구논문이 배출되고 있다.

현대의 학문적 흐름은 학제간 연구(interdisciplinary study)와 다학문 연구(multidisciplinary study)가 강화되고 있으며 학술언어는 영어로 통합되기에 이르렀다. 이에 2016년부터 시작된 동북아학술저널연합(J-INSTITUTE)의 지난 10년간 선구자의 길은 멀고도 험난했다. 그러나 향후 10년은 우리 학회가 씨앗기를 벗어나 영어기반 오픈 액세스(open access)의 모범이 되는 학술적 정착기의 시기가 될 것이다.
